Would the tuner portion be better at the input rather than the output?

You're welcome.

If feed from the beginning of the chain you don't have to turn off any pedals to tune. Many pedals are going to affect the tuner (chorus/flanger/phaser/echo/reverb/etc.) so it's easiest to bypass them for tuning and when you go back to the amp you don't have to re-engage any effects.

Here's a possible modification... you could make the tuner switch patch the tuner in at the beginning of the chain and at the same time mute the end of the chain so you don't have to listen to any noise from the pedals. ;)

Ah of course, dude thanks for that I was thinking about muting the signal to the amp but didnt think about the signal that would come into the tuner.
