Guys when i am using the Electro-Harmonix system of cutting off battery on my stereo input jack - is there any difference in cutting + or - wire (whereas the other one goes straight to the circuit)?
My circuit is PNP (+ on ground). I am trying vainly to find any (dis-)advantages ...

you connect the wire that would otherwise be connected to ground to ground onto that part of the input jack.

With a regular negative ground setup its the black wire.

With a positve ground setup (which is common with PNP transistor based effects) you're basically using the red wire of the battery as 0V and the black one as -9v (as voltage is a relative thing), so you connect the red wire to the the ring on the input jack
