It was working fine for months, boxed up.
Today it suddenly died when I powered it up.
No sound when i switch it on. (the led works though)
Is it the opamp maybe?

Some interesting background info:
I was using it with 2 x 9V. (2 wallwart supplies,
wired up so that they give 18v). I usually had
to reset (plug the power out and then back in) it
a few times to get the delay working, but there was always
some sound so far...

any ideas?

Bad news...
I've measured 17V everywhere.
Its 17V at every pin of the 78L05 and 78L12.
How could they die???
Now do i have to change all those chips?  :icon_cry:

If it is 17V EVERYWHERE there might be a ground connection gone bad somewhere. Here's hoping..

while measuring, i forgot to plug something in the input jack,
thus there was no ground connection to the board. That's why it was 17V everywhere  :icon_redface:
Today it came back to life, but i still dont know what the problem was.
Maybe i'll rehouse it someday, because its not too reliable now. Definitely not
for stage yet :)

If only I could diagnose my OWN problems from 10,000 miles away :icon_redface:....... I guess when it is somebody else's box, one can take a calmer look at it!
