"Belcat"
An OD in a 1590B etc etc £19.99   !!!!!  :icon_eek:
Makes a "Plastic" Dano look a little expensive ..... how do they do THAT ?

They also have a Distortion Chous and Delay ..... ALL @ £19.99 !

( Before some joker asks .... it's nothing to do with me OK ..  :icon_rolleyes: )

Hi Marty
Never seen it before but it has a kinda Tubescreamer derivative lookalike about it, having said that it seems as You pointed out a steel box at a very competitive price. Who knows it may be the Holy Grail of TS pedals, then again I suspect it may not be however I await Your opinion should You opt to go for one even if it's only for the pre drilled box !!!!!!

Well I've ordered one of the Overdrives !
I just have to see what it's like for that price, it's not much more than the cost of the
Box/Jacks/Switch and knobs .... let alone the paint job and circuit !
I presume that it's a TS-9 or SD-1 variant ..... I'll let you know next week.

I wonder if the same thing goes for their amplifiers on that website?
If so I think I may have to get one to pop my Fire Fly into.

The Overdrive arrived in quite a smart "Black cardboard" box.
Build quality looks good, metal case ( 1590B size but not the same ) with a metal
screw on base - WITH a battery door :D
Looks like FET switching Ala-Boss etc, has the cheap PCB mount "Dano" jack sockets ! so
if you step on a cable - bingo !
Knobs , nice design feel fine and paint job looks like a very well done funky DIY job.
Sound:
Pretty good, not like a TS-9/SD-1 at all, sounds like a decent Si fuzz/OD with a tone control
which works very well, I couldn't get to the component side of the board, but it does not look like
there's an opamp in there !
Sounds warm and gnarly, like a good well tuned fuzz.
More when it's in "bits" soon .....

All in All - for £19  .... Very hard to beat, much prefer the metal over the plastic "Dano's"

got three of the drives , the delay and the chorus, the drives are surface mount with a tiddly 4558 ic in them, sound quite good, footswitch is fake dpdt, but the cases are great. the chorus is garbage, adds slight overdrive to everything(maybe a dud one), the delay is great when playing clean up to 330ms delay, but add any kind of drive and it gets real scratchy and muddy. in a nutshell then, theyre pretty crap, behringer are far better at half the price, but just dont look as cool

I just noticed on their site, all effects have an Input impedance of 1Kohm ... I suppose that is a mistake, right?

Most propably.

What I noticed is that they are very informative about their products. They list things the other manufacturers don't, like pedals' impedances and current draw. And with amps, THD, input sensitivity, noise... No mojo terms, just facts.

Then again, there's no information on how these things SOUND. Even not praising mojo-talk.

Your posts just ruined their reputation!

SMD, 4558 hard to tell if it's FB loop diodes or to ground like a Dist+

Sounds good, warmer and thicker than a TS and well put together IMO.
