I have a NJM4558S in box, but i couldn't find a single datasheet for it. It has 9 pins. Is there any way to know the pinout of this IC w/o datasheet? Help is very much appreciated.

Yes,i swear it 8). I know its kinda weird, but it IS a 9 pins buddy. Anyone?

I would look at the 8 pin one and get a feel for what the pins should be on the 9 pin version.  From the PCB you should be able to figure it out.

Unfortunately, it is a brand new chip i bought from shop.

pin 1 should be +V, 2 to 9 should be the same as the 4558L

From the datasheet of NJM4558L, pin 8 is V+. If pin 1 of 4558S is V+, how about pin 9 of 4558S ?

Take a look at this Fairchild data sheet: http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/KA/KA4558.pdf. I'll bet your pinout will be the same as the 9-SIP package from Fairchild.

Thanks alot to everyone. This mystery finally solved after 1 year. Now is time to make something out of it. Any suggestion? Tubescreamer?
