Diode Bridge + DC current?

Just a quick question, since I have leftover parts from a spyder build if I make a small board with a bridge rectifier / 9v regulator on it (+ capactiors) to clean up a 12v wall wart, what happens if I feed it DC current? It would just drop the voltage a tiny bit (since its going through two diodes), right? So if I fed it 12vDC would I still get at least 11vDC after it went through the diodes? It would be nice to leave it on there, so that I'd be able to use it any wall wart like 12-18v AC or DC to power a pedal.

I believe you are correct.  At least, I feed the power input to my Neovibe with an 18V DC powersupply from my Gator G-BUS 8 and it goes through the diode bridge that's on the board and everything works fine.
