I've build a CA compressor through the available schematics; great pedal that sounds marvellous but the unit pops....... It can't be cured by pull down resistors.

Any thoughts? Am I overlooking something?

How do you have the switching wired up ... standard dpdt & pulldown 1M front and back ?

Sorry;

I use a TPDT switch, wired up as normal TB switching

I use a 1M at the start of the circuit; I also tried a 4M7 here as for the .22 uF input cap. I use a 100k to ground at the end of the circuit (also tried 1M here)

I added some big caps for power filtering; ehm, no LED yet!

On both the in as output cap is 4.1 mV in bypass mode

Perhaps you have a little power "bleed" somewhere ?
Usual stuff to check through ! :D
