Any use for a 74LS04?

I bought this for the CMOS drive circuit thinking any 7404 would do. Wrong! This circuit is great with the correct chip, the 74HCU04 but doesn't work at all with the original one I bought so I now have it spare and don't want to waste it. Any ideas greatly appreciated! I need more 3v circuits.

Yeah, the LS04 ain't a CMOS chip, won't oscillate like a CMOS chip, won't amplify like a CMOS chip and won't operate from 3V. Other than that, it's a great chip - for TTL logic circuits.
