Geez mate, you do demand don't you  :D
Schematics not as important as sound. And people seem to like the sound.

So where do I need a cap?  Do you think that when its switched to insane (diodes disconnected from ground), I should use a SPDT so that I can put a capacitor to ground so its less crazy.

RaceDriver... I know I sound mean and demanding, its just that I want to see if theres anything to make it better, and some people wanted to see the schematic and I posted it.  Sorry though.

Pretty good! I like the sound of the "sane" distortions... You've obviously put a lot of effort into this what with the schematic and layouts and all, well done!
I am not responsible for your imagination.

Thanks Meanderthal.  I just put it all on perfboard.  I still have to go through debugging because its not working first try, but I will figure it out tomarrow.

OK i mixed up sane/insane still in the mode with the diodes connected the 2nd fet will have little effect or at least it will no act as an amplifier.

the cap might go in series with the diodes.

Ok, I measured my voltages of the two J201s.

Q1:
D- 2.88v
S- 0.4v
G- 85mV

Q2:
D- .636v
S- 319mV
G- 0.1mV

I am guessing that its not working because of misbiasing?  Does it look like that to you?  I put in a fixed resistor from the breadboard used the same JFETs and resistors on the perfboard, but maybe it needs to be rebiased.

And congratulations to myself for finishing my first roll of solder today!  And it was while working on this, my first built design  ;D
