Looking for a direct box schematic.

Does anyone know if there is a direct box layout/schematic in the layouts section?  Thought I'd ask before looking through all of the different galleries.  I'm not exactly sure what a direct box does or is used for but a buddy of mine asked if I could build him one so I told him I'd look into it. Thanks.
