Phase 100 reissue vs original

Hello Everybody

  First post here! Had a question hopefully someone could shed some light on. I was wondering what could be done to a reissue Phase 100 to make it sound closer to an original? When a/b'd the original of course sounds better. Has anyone opened them up and checked the differences? Would better caps help? Do they use different IC's? I had toyed with the idea of cloning one but thought modding a reissue could possibly be an easier maybe cheaper way to go...
