of course dude, u are only replacing the 100k pot (Rw)  with a 100k-LDR combo. the rest of the circuit is intact.
that way. u'll have a unorthodox potentiometer, LDR's usually has more resistance than 100k. say a couple oh Mohms or at least, twice the value. Lets asume u have a LDR that goes from 500ohm (they never goes to zero resistance) to -i dont know- 300k. the relation between will be 100k-300k and 100k-0.5k (toedown - footdown)
i dont know much about this, maybe the gods could help u (RG, Mr. Hammer, Andrew, etc)

PS: in order to clarify things, i give u this schematic. R16 (47ohm) can be replaced w/ a jumper or 1k-trimpot (Q Control). hope that helps.
