Can someone recommend a cheap, pre-painted enclosure that would be good for an Atari Punk Console? I'm building a couple of these for Christmas and don't have much money to do it with. Thanks a lot.

you could use a cookie tin or something, then secure all teh stuff to the lid, so its a noise maker AND you can still ues it to store stuff in. then u can put cookies or something in it n give it to them.  could also be used as a secret stash area  8)

I built one using a tuna fish can, you can even get lids from grocery store.  good luck -J-

Why not house it in an old Atari (gaming console version) game cartridge?  :icon_eek:

this is one of those circuits you can use anything to enclose it.  you don't need to shield, you don't need to stomp on it/ install a stomp switch, you can use a lot of different batteries, and it's a tiny circuit.  be creative, and try not to buy anything.  around the house/garage has the best enclosures for these simple noisemaker circuits.  have fun!

I had thought about using a couple of old Nintendo controllers, but i'll catch holy hell around here if I destroy anything Nintendo. In the past i've been quite resourceful in finding make-shift enclosures (Ruby's in fish-food containers, etc) so I don't imagine it'll take too much doing to find something, I just thought i'd ask. Anyways, thanks again!

glob it with expanding foam or hot glue, then dip it several times with rubber cement or something similar.
