TL082 opamp

Wondering if the tl082 opamp is a low or high gain op amp....Will it put out more distortion than a 741?  using it in place of the rc4558 in the shaka hv.  found here ... http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/shakahv.jpg

Normally, there is so much open-loop gain in an op amp that it hardly matters..... but comparing a TL082 and a 741 in this particular circuit, where there is a LOT of gain.... I suspect the 741 might run out of high frequency gain compared to the TL082.
but the best thing to do, is just build it with both & see what your EARS say! That's what DIY is for!
