Boss CE-1 Switch High/Low

I own one Boss CE-1 and confuse about the switch "High/Low" on left handside.   When select "High" sound louder & more bass.  When select "Low" sound drop & more treble.  Is it correct working condition.?  Anyone have this one, please kindly advise.

It's just a switch for plugging in either a "keyboard" or a "Guitar" which have very
different outputs.
Low - for guitar output.
