DC Power Jack for The Sovtek Pre-drilled 3-Knob Box

A customer wanted to use this box, but wasn't sure how to make use of the square cutout for the power jack. Mouser p/n 163-5004-E is an exact fit, and I will stock it in the next week or so:



One way that I saw to set up a shell in here was to use a large single-side perf board on 3/8" high studs. I cut slots for the contacts of the power jack using a Dremel burr, and the whole thing slips perfectly into place:



The spacers and the thickness of the board put the jack at exactly the correct height:
