Perf it up. Dragonfly, MarkM and myself have layouts in our galleries. I must agree that the MarkM layout with the info provided by JHS sounds fantastic. Really a noticeable difference while still retaining the classic OD 250 sound. My experience with this pedal tells me that this is the version to build:

I used 1n4002's, JHS swears by the 1n4003's. The 250's have been in my top 10 for a long time but the 77 version kills (IMHO).
Use linear pots, unity gain is at around 10:00. It can also be maxed out (gain and volume at the same time, if you want) with no squeel/oscillating. The best part is it can be used as a stand alone OD without sounding like a chump, see below. No Gain from Amp, check this out:
