What's your favorite medium for pedals? Anyone else prefer perf/vero over PCB?

QuoteI have to disagree... This thread helped me figure out what I did wrong, and especially why it happened. Might save someone else a lot of potential hassle in the future. I'd say that's pretty positive...
And the technical reasons for using different mediums have been touched, if only lightly. People are explaining WHY they prefer this or that.
And it has been a very civil discussion so far.
That's why I stayed out so long.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

One positive thing I stumbled into with the vero was that it's apparently somewhat SMD friendly. I needed a 1uf cap, and I was out of all but a roll of SMD caps(a botched order, my fault). Well, it fit nicely between the traces, and THAT one stuck immediately! I couldn't have gotten away with that if I were using no-copper perf.
