1.)right no i have the green .22uf polyester film caps from radio shack in my pedal and that thing sounds awsome i have sprague .22uf 100v polyester orangs drop capsthese things are huge would they sound better, or change the sound at all? are they worth putting in?
2.) the schematics i used to build the wah came from fuzzcentral the second part of the pedal i built was the buffer i didint put it on i was wondering about having a switch on it so i can turn the buffer on and off i only need it if i use my fuzzface other than that id like to turn it off, i dont know if i can just stick a switch in there without it makinmy pedal pop when i hit it? or even how to go about doin that?
3.)would changing the 4.7uf cap to a higher quality one improve the sound whats the best cap to use for that?
Thanks in advance I love this forum!!!!!! :icon_razz:

dont bother, you REALLY wont notice the difference, tonally. but if you must, for cosmetic purposes, buy a pair of fish caps...or just drop your orange drops in.

dont bother, it wont sound any different when its off.

you'll HARDLY notice the difference. so, to that, i say no.

if you want to be able to do some switcharoo type stuff, get yourself a good swtich and a .012, .015, .022 cap for your sweep capacitor position, so you can choose between stock, deep, deeper, deepest.

i love you too.

recommendations?
like a dip switch? anygood schematics around another schematic i was wondering about was i saw one to test out transistors is that alot better than just using a dmm?
oh i also dont know what to do with the trim pot on the buffer how do i adjust that thing

your transistors are the best its going to get...some people get really anal about the gain in transistors, but those will do just fine...

there are a bunch of different kinds of switches, but the one i had in mind was this one.

you know, one of them crazy deals...i did it in one of my wahs.

just dont forget to drill the hole.  :D

1) The Orange drops will impart a brighter more airy clarity to the wah tone, which is not necessarily desirable.

2) Some things are subtle and some are not, there is a distinct difference in wah tone with buffer on or off. The buffer makes
a wah sound thinner and more trebly which I hate, so I have my wahs with switchable buffers.

3) Some may not notice a tonal difference, but there is one with different value electros and different types/brands.

how do i hook up a switch to the buffer?

 Anyway you want 1
And you can look at bypass switching options at GGG, I'd just use a DPDT [or 3PDT for LED indicator] True Bypass on it,
there is probably room for a protected toggle switch under the rocker, this could put the BP Switch lugs/wiring right next to the bufferboard, on way to  BP Switch, [shorter 'antennas'? not too far from the inductor]...

hello jonathan, hows it hangin im jason pleased to meet you.
what if i stuck these ac128s in there insted of the bc109s?

Wah mostly is *NPN Nos Gnd. IIRC that's what BC109's are, AC128's are PNP [check data sheets for verified info], and would be reverse polarized if used in a 'regular' [NPN Neg Gnd.]
