Its now time to build a power source or buy one. There is the Smallbear one , The Tonepad one, Visual Sound, and the Voodoo Labs. I would rather build one but wondered how conditioned/filtered the Smallbear/Tonepad ones in comparison, or if that really mattered.

Anyone build either the Smallbear or the Tonepad power source's?

Don't forget the ones at GGG...

I'm sure they all work work well. They all are designed by smart folks.

I would go with the one you can afford and with the one you can get the parts to easiest, or have the parts to already possibly. Also it depends on what you need, one, two three or 9... taps for effects units. ANNNDDD whether you need it to be in a box with break out plugs or you will use it as a daisy chain...

The one on GGG supplies the most current and IMO is the best design. It's very quiet as well, I know that if I'm having noise problems, the power source isn't the problem. Mine's supplying almost exactly 9V, even under load.
