Bypassing and Switching with the CD4053 CMOS Analog MUX - Any body used it ?

Hi All

I have a number of Single Pole latching footswitches doing nothing and was planning to use one with the design that R.G. detailed in his article "Bypassing and Switching with the CD4053 CMOS Analog MUX" on the GEO Web Site, to by-pass a Bluebreaker I have just built. I plan to incorporate in the same box, not as a separate by-pass unit.

Does anybody have any particle experience of using such a by-pass method ?
