i got into the studio my band is working in today, and i found a fuzz factory.  i have to say, this pedal is F***ing insane.  good job zach.  i've never seen one of these in person before, let alone fooled around with one.  I'm thinking i shoulod steal it on my way out  ;)

what kind of switches does he use in these?  they're like butter!

blanik

i saw a DPDT in there, they are usually smoother than the 3PDT but i think the FFact come with a LED now so either they switch to 3PDT or used a millenium bypass with the DPDT...

jlullo

yeah, the one here is a dpdt w/ no led.  i've never used one of those before, so it was surprising at how smooth they are

jonathan perez

i cant wait to get one.........
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

Don't steal from the Studio!!!! I had a few things turn up missing when I ran my place for years.
It's a bummer when you can't trust people.

You can get a Vexter series for $179.  It's not cheap, but the cool factor is way high.

A schem for this pedal is not so useful.  Part of what you pay for is Vex's skill for choosing the exact right components for his designs.

FWIW, I got it....in spite of the onomatopoeic challenge posed.  Dang, we're gonna have to start using soundclips in conjunction with emoticons!  Rimshot, please!! :icon_wink:  Where is the collection of Victor Borge and Lord Buckley sound-bites when you need them?

I thought the Tone God was ducking in preparation for the inevitable ethics discussion.

That or someone throwing something virtual at me for possibly causing another discussion. Just for the public record I was kidding. I'm warped enough to come up with my own crazy designs. I thought it would good to head off a potentially nasty discussion by making light of it. I think it may have work. Hooray!

I could show you a schematic, but I would have to kill you afterwards because it's Classified.  :icon_wink:

EDIT: Yeah, that's a great pedal to mess with, ain't it?  :icon_cool:

I had to look it up, so in case anyone else wasn't sure...

Main Entry: on·o·mato·poe·ia
Pronunciation: "ä-n&-"mä-t&-'pE-&, -"ma-
Function: noun
Etymology: Late Latin, from Greek onomatopoiia, from onomat-, onoma name + poiein to make -- more at POET
1 : the naming of a thing or action by a vocal imitation of the sound associated with it (as buzz, hiss)
2 : the use of words whose sound suggests the sense
- on·o·mato·poe·ic  /-'pE-ik/ or on·o·mato·po·et·ic  /-pO-'e-tik/ adjective
- on·o·mato·poe·i·cal·ly  /-'pE-&-k(&-)lE/ or on·o·mato·po·et·i·cal·ly  /-pO-'e-ti-k(&-)lE/ adverb

I've seen a schematic, but now my wife and children are indentured slaves to the city of Minneapolis, and will be picking up refuse off Lake St. for the rest of their natural lives.  I'm so sorry, kids. :icon_cry:  I didn't mean to.  Honest.  I couldn't help myself. :icon_redface:

Many many years ago, I heard an interview with John Lennon about his two books "In His Own Write" and "Spaniard in the Works" (I have weathered copies of each that I bought in 1967).  The interviewer asked him about his love of onomatapoeia, and Lennon responded "Automatic pee-er what?"

EDIT: What I originally wrote means nothing! OH CRAP! So sorry. I brought this back from the grave. 3 years! Damn I totally didn't pay attention to the red type. So sorry!
I've been reamed out for this on other forums too...my deepest apologies.
