thanks.  the revised one is actually from page 4 of the photos thread.  they're mark hammer's pedals!

I was looking through and these are the ones that really catch my eye. The others are great too, but either possibly too complicated or too many colors etc... Any comments?

2 for vintage mojo.

7 for sleek modern design.

As good as the others look, they might be a bit confusing because the "DIY"-part is so darn separated. The address could be read stompboxes.com. Sorry for being so straightforward.

As a vintage nut that I am, I'd take 2. My second choice would be 7th picture, 2nd column, 2nd row.

I thought they logo should not just show electronics but stompbox characteristics. I personally liked:

It would still print out well under various sizes and methodologies.

Maybe with the text replaced with one of the above say number 6.

Just my thoughts.

thanks for the vote andrew - I can certainly alter it if we like. I also had an LED in the blue one - should we add that?

No problem - anyone know the name of that font?

The Tone God

One of the things I like about the text in that logo is the site name is on one line. I found that breaking a site name up in a logo tends to screw people up when they type the name in. Sounds weird but its true. The font definitely could use some spicing up. Maybe not exactly like the others but something nice, clean, and classy but not boring.

As for the LED I saw that version but my thinking is that the lay person/musician may not know what the LED is as it would just look like a bump especially if shrunk. Almost all boxes have a footswitch and knob. Those are very strong images that musicians would recognize and they are quite large in that logo so it would shrink well.

You know I'm surprised that no one did this but that "Y" in DIY is screaming to be a BP transistor symbol. ;)

Just my opinion.

I like 2.

Got that vintage mojo from the era that these things were first introduced.
