Turned out nicely I thought!
Why a goat?  Because it's a creamy booster, and goat's milk is creamy, lol.   :icon_lol:

Ferric Chloride and PNP.

Anybody know how to get a uniformly dull surface on the boxes with no scratches?

John Lyons

Follow Mark M's procedure in the gallery.
Sand with 80 then 120, 180, 220, 320, 400, 600, and on up till you like it. It will mirror after about 1500. Get wet/dry silicon carbide (black) sand paper and use it wet. Stopping every once and a while to rinse the particles off. Put wet the paper on a thick piece of glass or  plexiglass on a flat surface to keep the box super flat. Use a drop of dish soap to keep things slippery and to polish finer. If you skip grit numbers you will get scratches. Work from 80 up with increment grits and you will have a baby's butt smooth box. Seems like a lot of work? It is!

I really like that.  It's endearing.

I can imagine a pedal board of a handful of simple small pedals, each proudly emblazoned with an etched animal drawing.
