Can millenium bypass cause hum?

I still have some issues with the hum in BSIAB 2, but it is a bit better now. I was thinking would it make sense to isolate millenium bypass. I would first cover the millenium circuit with electrical tape and then cover the tape with aluminium foil, and then cover the aluminium foil with electrical tape.                Would this make any sense?

Can somebody tell my if I should go for it or not.

Well I tried it and it helped a bit.

Can the Millenium Bypass per se cause hum?

No.

Can incorrect wiring on the Millenium Bypass cause hum?

Yes.

Will shielding the Millenium Bypass help hum?

Only if it incidentally helps with the other wiring issues.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I have the same even when the pedal is off it's causing hum.
When I don't use a led (with or without the millennium 2) it's gone
I know that some adapters can cause hum, but this powersupply is especially made for this purpose and is not making hum on any other pedal.

Can it be the diode's? I used a different type than on the schematic, but I must say that it hums (the well know 50Hz) on or off.
Taking out the pedal of the rig, kills it.
Taking of the led with or without Mill. 2 kills it too, then the pedal is as quite as a mouse.

I tried a bypass capacitor as well, but doesn't help.(here is a link to it : http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/jun97/basics.html )

I think it's just the positive going to the ground of the whole pedal, so it's in contact with the whole signal as well.

Let me know what you think.

Millennium bypass is a great circuit. It's absolutely hum-free by itself. Hum is usually caused by the OTHER stuff.

It's not that I don't believe in the circuit, but I'm looking for answers for the hum I have, even when the effect is turned off.
do you guys make extra grounding to the eclosure and pot-shell as well?

Can it be the led?

let me know please.
