Hi everyone,
I want to ask you an advice (or more than one). I'm building a Tremulus Lune (from commonsound.com) with tonepad PCB. And I am divided between two "way of life": more knobs or less knobs? Ok, the standard version has 3 knobs, but is the "fine" one really important? And the "spacing"? Less knobs means you dial your sound faster, IMHO. But there is also the other side: I can have all tremolo sounds in the world, they're just two knobs away!! Oh, in that case i'll add the simmetry knobs too... I'm lost, but I want to put my tremulus lune in a BB box in the netx two days, so i have to decide.
What do you think about?

Thanks in advance

I built one w/out the "fine: knob, but with the "symmetry" knob.  it gets me all the sounds i need...  i'd keep the "spacing" knob for sure.

Your English is better than some Americans I know!  :icon_lol:
I went for all the knobs using the TonePad layout;

If you want all the control I would use all the knobs.
The fine control would be the one I would leave off If I had to pick one to go.
The fine control is nice to set the speed easier bcause the one knob speed works a little too rough...

Thanks a lot. Very useful informations. I think I'll do the 5 knobs... oh, with the double speed stomp switch!!!!!

looking back at the lune i built, i would have removed the DUTY CYCLE knob (i forget, is it called SPACING or SYMMETRY?.... i forget) and replaced it with resistors for 50% duty cycle. there's just now audible value for me with a duty cycle control. instead i would have added a pot for the trimpot for gain control. sometimes at different DEPTH settings, i get a volume drop/boost that i'd like to control.

i would recommeded the ramp mod as well. i added a single ON-OFF-ON switch so i could do Ramp-Up and Ramp-Down. Ramp-Up is especially rad.

good point on the gain knob, i forgot about that.  i did that, and it is very useful.

I built the tonepad one with 5 knobs in a bigger box.  I found the fine and speed too much for me, especially for adjusting live.

So I made a new one with no spacing and no fine knob, in a smaller box.  I made one for the other guitarist in my band, he loves it.

Excellent sounding trem and design.
