Hi Forum, I just reworked a newer rat for a friend and found the millenium bypass circuit had two diodes (1n914s) in series off the source of the 2n5458 that controls it.  Could someone explain what's going on here.

The guy was complaining that the LED will flicker when in bypass.  He wanted to know if it was fixable.  I figure replacing that super cheap switch could help with the bounce.

Anyway, any ideas with the double diode thing?  It otherwise looks like a standard millenium bypass.

Also I noted that the debounce resister and input resister to Vb are 2.2M and all the drawings I've found show either 1M or 220K here.
