Hi,

I know it is somewhere but I cannot remember where. I'm looking for a vero layout of a classic Fuzz Face with trimmers to adjust the bias.

TIA!

I don't think I've seen one, but I made this one some time ago and never posted it.  Remember that trimpot sizes vary, so make sure it all fits!  Also note that only two legs of the trimpot are in use.  The point of this layout is that you socket every component and swap them at will.  As such, I spaced things out so it would be easier to swap them.

Here's one I prepared earlier.

EDIT: Whoops sorry missed the vero bit... :icon_redface:

It's okay pyrop. Thanks a lot for the answers.

That works good for testing FF's.
Yesterday I populated around a 16 pin IC socket, I/O caps and transistors.
I'm using 'wiper-lug sockets, I find they hold up better not cut, probably so do the connections and pads.
'machine lug' or 'pin lug' sockets are better I thing for 'three in a row' type construction, the pull on say the collector lug is distributed better across the socket and 3 copper pads.
Using wipered sockets on layouts like that makes for a wobbly socket, and lugs that are more or less dangling off one pad.
Anyway I just figure about how much I want socketted, then just build that around an IC chip at least big enough to fascilitate easy construction...a couple unused spacer lugs is 'fine...
Yesterday's build was on a 16 pin IC socket/ perfboard size about 20 x 15, a Gus Smalley "Fuzz Face Type Fuzz", I'll use a once folded over matchstick and elmers to tack any heavy/tall/loose components in their sockets when I'm thinking I'm done tweaking it.
The folded over, glued matchstick crease stuffs snugly in the IC hole between components, each end touching a component side, I just used a toothpick to apply enough glue to be semi-permanent, should be real easy to pull out and replace.
The 'trimmer' ITCase is a box mounted 5k [see FFTF schematic], and should provide 'fly biasing' and gating options..cool.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Check my layout gallery for a multiple trim pot version...fully adjustable ...
