Hello !

Could anyone help me find this kind of wah enclosure ?

http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=548

My problem to order from Small Bear is that I live in Greece and I want many pieces and it's a risk paying a lot of money to extra fees to the post office...

I 'm searching the same box in Europe...

any help ?

thank you !!

bancika

...and from Portugal...   :)

you could get a used/broken dunlop for cheaper than that

IF YOU CAN WAIT SIX WEEKS...

It can be done by surface mail, with at least some insurance for your goods. A 10-piece carton weighs exactly 34 pounds. Now check the tables at USPS.com: Surface mail for that weight to Greece is less than $50.00, so you are talking $5.00 each to get them there plus whatever the duty is. Maybe this makes it uneconomical, and maybe it doesn't...only you can decide that. I CAN tell you that I have shipped a fair number of these overseas.

I don't have many left from my last shipment, and the order I just placed will be delivered about 1 April. Sharpen your pencil, find out who has to be paid off how much to let them into port, and let me know if you decide to go ahead.

Not trying to out you off ordering from Steve, but broken wahs turn up on ebay quite often e.g. this one in England

I've been keeping an eye on these, got an Ibanez fuzz wah shell with no guts for £8.50 last year, perfect for me...

And that wah on eBay most likely (certainly) only needs one capacitor replaced...

Hello,

sorry but it's still expensive for me...it is 45$ per pedal + whatever the customs will be...and I believe it will be around 80$ for an order around 400$) so it makes around 53$ per shell...

Thanks anyway  :icon_wink:

bancika

you're lucky with that customs taxes, in Serbia they charge 30% + 8$ fixed tax

Full on!

bancika

yeah, and in addition to that they charge tax even for shipping costs if they are specified in invoice. Imagine my anger when they charged me 40 euros for stuff that was worth 85 :icon_twisted: :icon_mad:

I have to admit, one of the nicer things of living within EU is the lifted customs, no longer any such problems ordering stuff from germany or the UK.

bancika

yeah, you have VAT, but it's lower than this robbery.
I'll have to wait for a while before Serbia gets into EU   :icon_lol:

Aye, then you can emmigrate to the UK like everyone else!  ;D

bancika

well, there are some good things about living here, too.

1) software is free (even the one that's normally very expensive) :icon_lol:
2) prices are mostly lower than in EU
3) the fact that labour is cheap here sometimes is actually good, for instance custom wound transformers are a few times cheaper than in UK, custom engraved amp panels are about 10 times cheaper than last USA shop I checked, etc..
4) appartment rents are way cheaper, for instance I pay 100euros/month for small flat in city center
5) girls look better  :icon_mrgreen:

So living here with EU paycheck is the winning combination :)

I've visited, years ago before the Yugoslavian breakup. They really do have (in general) the prettiest women I've seen anywhere.
