Marshall Tone Stack

I've heard alot about the Marshal tone stack but after lots of searching I can't find it. Could someone please show me a link to it?

The Marshall tone stack is basically the same as the old 50's Fender Bassman. Search Google for Marshall JTM45 schematic and you will find what you are looking for.

But it is a passive tone control..? is it supposed to be so?

IMO, it doesn't matter that it's passive. On circuits that have really hot outputs, you hardly notice that you tacked on the tone stack.
