EDIT: FOUND IT!

I have a couple solder connections on my board that I would like to coat with some sort of material so they don't flex right at the solder joint. I'm thinking some sort of paint on rubber or something, but I can't seem to find any links that are what I'm looking for. The most popular search returns are for a spray on varnish to coat the board. I'm looking more for something that will coat a whole connection around the offboard wires.

I've done some searching on the forums to look for standard methods of coating solder joints with plastic or some sort, but have come up dry.
Most of my search threads platic coating, coating solder boards, etc).come up with Links to press n peel.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hot glue is cheap. And works.

Yep. Real cheap. You can get cheapo glue guns and glue sticks at most dollar stores ! I use it to hold transistors in their sockets when i find the ones i like...

:D

I love "cheap".

I thought I'd hijack this thread really quick.

Where can I get those little solder terminals?  Smallbear sells some but the holes are a bit big.  I'd like something like the inline sockets, but just with a bare metal solder terminal and no plastic.

Sounds like you might be looking for what are called "flea clips".

Google "flea clip" and you should find 'em :)

I'm going to try that rubber dip for tool handles. If that doesn't work then hot glue it is.

1. be careful not to breathe the fumes from that rubber dip stuff.
2. and the rubber dip is hellishly expensive, here in Australia!
