After seeing the Shredmaster layout from Handmade.com and doing a little research here about the Jekyll & Hyde OD, I went ahead and tried putting them together to see what it was about. John (Basic Audio) made the PCB's for me, did a fantastic job as on just about anything he does and I bought the other parts from Smallbear. Through an already overdriven amp, both the 808 and Shredmaster sounded great, although having a lot of range, there are "sweet spots" that I kept going back to as in just about all pedals. Playing through a clean amp is where this pedal really shines. 808 gets a great fenderish break up and the Shredmaster does almost the same but with a lot more gain available and a really nice mid scoop using the contour knob. Both pedals together is whacked out gain but not uncontrollable, nice fusion type tone. Using the PCB's, the builds were really easy (I perf almost everything), no debugging and the two circuits really do compliment each other. I'm surprised that a whole separate thread hasn't been started on particular combinations of circuits that work well together. Anyway, thanks John for everything and the person who posted the Shredmaster PCB layout (along with Tonepad for their 808 layout).

Very nice build!

The cool-factor would certainly be high, if one side had classic Marshall-knobs and one had classic Fender-knobs and graphics  :D

  Yes that's slick mahn.
  four knobs?
Shredmaster is cool with the mid scoop, I had one 4 mo. after they first came out.
  OS comp/DIST+
This is a really nice 2-stomp-box I use. HF cut knob on the DIST+ Diodes.
  Sparkleboost/FetFuzz
Mostly I do it helps pack space and reduce jacks, plugs, 'n cables.
Another circuit I like any way real good, before or after a Fuzz, OD, or boost, or alone, is the Minibooster [I like it slightly treblier], it has a distortion characteristic that I like and responds to various [distorted/boosted] input levels with 'good to excellent behaviours', and can drive OD to Dist, Dist to Fuzz. It has relatives that live in the BSIAB and THOR, the Mu makes great distorter circuit segments.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

That's a nice build :D  Is that a "DD" sized enclosure ?
Here's a nice combo, Mosfet boost -> Mr Mostorto
Just put it together and when "both on" it gets VERY compressed and OTT !
Little noisey at high gain settings, but what isn't !

I've always liked a TS into something more heavy, like TS into my '59 Bassman sim:

Thanks for the other "combo" ideas guys. Pete, you are right, does save money on extra jacks, etc.... putting a couple pedals you know will work together in the same box. The box I used was the  Taiwanese 'DD' Size from Smallbear. Plenty of room. Also Marty, nice clip! I really dig Brian May's tone and even though I don't think you were using a VOX, I heard some of his sound in there.
