Colorsound Wah (it's been too long...)

Ok, it's been a long time since I posted here! You'll have to excuse me for all I've forgotten.

I've got a Colorsound wah on my breadboard. The only substitution I'm using is a .0047µf instead of a .0068 µf capacitor. Transistor is an MPSA13.

The problem: About 80% of the pot is bass and the rest treble. It acts more as a tone control than a wah (elaborate tone control, I know...). I seem to recall that when I built this before I did the '33k mod' and I got some unusual sounds but nothing this time. Does this sound unusual to you? I swear I got this thing to resonate also...
I love the smell of solder in the morning.
