How to check the DC voltage on the output of your effects devices?

Hey guys

can someone point me in the right direction to find out how to check the DC voltage on the output of my effects devices?

maybe a docco exists or a breif explation on where to put the multimeter pins would be appreciated :)

Just set your multimeter to measure DC around a few volts, and put it between ground and the output signal. You can do this inside the enclosure, or you can just take a cable, plug it into the output jack, and measure the voltage across the tip and sleeve of the end of the cable.

It's a good practice to get into...you'd be surprised what you can sometimes find if you've shorted your output cap, ha ha...   ;)
