I hadnt thought of unequal stages causing squealing. I definitely will keep that in consideration. Thanks for all your responses and your help. Im going to order some mosfets and get to work. I will keep you posted as to my findings. Thanks alot

  I think the squealing is in very high gain circuits where the input and output go through the switch, oscillating 'crosswire' feedback occurs, a fix Joe Davisson figured out is have those two signals [input and output] out of phase with one another by adding a reversing phase to the problem circuit.

i`m really glad, that the 12AX7s (tubes) have their (even numbered gainstages`) grids as far apart from each other (physically),
as possible...  :icon_biggrin:
