What effect can I build with the components I have?

Well, I still got some components. (Wasted resistors: 1X10K, 1X100K, 1X20K, 1X470. Capasitors : 10u, 2.2u. 0.1u. FETs: all.)
I think I'll make some kind of a booster out of them, there are plenty of really simple booster schemtics.

 If ya already have a Fuzz Face built, just needs a matched pair of Germaniums. Smallbear carries them. A little expensive, but they'll sound good and you won't have to get 50 and sort good from bad.
It's a nice sounding circuit, cleans up with the volume knob on your guitar, etc.

I live in Israel, shipping from smallbear costs too much for me.
I buy the components in shops in the middle of the country (while I'm at the far far south) and I don't seem to be going there before 24th of April for a show of Incubus.
But for this many components I can ask a favor from someone that goes there.

Anyhow, "germaniums" doesn't tell me much, can you specify a recommended model or two? (preferably common ones)

And one more thing, how can I know which Capasitors, ICs and Transistors are better quility than others?

I found a headphones amp schematic (http://diy.erikhansen.net/schematics/misc/headphone_amp2.gif) in Erik Hansons schematics (thanks dragonfly  ) and It would be of great use for me,  but I have a few questions.
1. I don't have the 10uF cap anymore, can I use 2 4.7 caps instead somehow? EDIT: read it again and it's for something including distortion. I need it only for clean playing, do I really need that switch? and where does lug 7 goes? 
2. How can I add a volume pot? where should I put it? (and would 100k\1M\470k\500k pot is the one I'll need?)
3. Should it be loud enough for me to hear what I'm playing in a small gig in a pub? if now, how can I add enough volume?

And another question, what do I need to split the signal to 2 places? (that headphones amp and a mixer)

EDIT: another question... is this (http://smallbox.zeonhost.com/projects/fface/) fuzz face is PNP or NPN?
and in smallbear they call it simply germanium transistors for fuzz face PNP, doesn't really helpfull in generic electronic shops like the ones i'll buy from.

 There's a guy in Germany(Olaf) who runs a web site called Banzai. He sells pre-sorted pairs(AC128) for the FF also. Might be cheaper shipping for ya than Smallbear.
The reason I didn't mention part #s for Germanium trannys is there are many that will work, it's all about finding the right gain and leakage.

Btw, AC128 is the 'standard' and most sought after part number for Germanium FF trannys.

In-country shipping, even via an external company will be cheaper. If I can get the same products and quility in here, I rather not buy overseas.

But I'll check his site for stuff that I can't find in Israel, such as footswitches -_-

Can anyone help me with the other questions?
