Don't solder while tired.

Don't ever pick up an iron right before you head to bed. I did that a few days ago and tonight I get around to finishing up my New Clipper and realize that I had wired the input directly to the output, and the grounds were going everywhere.  :icon_rolleyes:

Also, the best debugging tip I can give: WIGGLE THE COMPONENTS! It wouldn't work until I wiggled everything and found that I had missed a lead when I reflowed them all. Of course, it was the only one that wasn't making good contact to begin with. :icon_rolleyes:

Ah, fun.

My worse memory of soldering while tired is burning 2 fingers. You can play with no effects, you can't play with no fingers.

And I just did my first real effect while being tired (haven't slept yet and its 6:30AM) and didn't noticed the circuit using BJT's and not the FETs I had. Now I need to find some BJT's and it will take a while.

I have built a few pedals after drinking a lot, and all of them worked the first time I plugged them in.

Perhaps this calls for a drunken pedal build contest...haha...Minimum 3 drinks before the building begins...Wait, perhaps I shouldn't be encouraging this sort of behaviour.

Hi,

There have been a few times recently where I wanted to finish a pedal or start on new build on a certain night but by the time I got the time to start it was late and I was tired. Each time I decided to just go to bed and leave it for another night. After reading your post, I'm glad I did.
