I'm modding my Blues Driver and want to know where I could buy 1mf film caps small enough to replace the electrolytic 'can' caps

I have seen a photo of some brown suqare shaped 1mf metal film caps...any ideas where these can be bought?

Cheers

Hi, I don't know if these will do, but this might be a good place to start.

http://www.mouser.com/search/Refine.aspx?Ne=1447464+254016+688315+1118567+688737+688767+254300&N=1323038+4294826890+4294827371+4294864475+4294966452+254300+0&GetRecs=1&Msb=0&Mkw=capacitor&Ntx=mode%20matchall&Ntk=Mouser_Wildcards&Ntt=*capacitor*&Ns=P_SField

Check the data sheets to see if they will fit in your Blues Driver.

I just looked at your post again. In your title you asked for 10mF but in your post you asked for 1mF. The link I posted was for 1mF. Sorry for the confusion.

Dear Andrew

I think we're getting some confusion around here...

Fahrad: 1F
milifahrad: 1mF
microfahrad: 1uF (this is what you want)
nanofahrad: 1nF
picofahrad: 1pF

You move the decimal 3 times to the right when going down the list, and vice versa...

1uF = 0,001mF = 0,000001F = 1.000nF = 1.000.000pF

Mouser sell's some Panasonic Stacked Metal Film-caps... I think either Mouser or Digikey carries them.

Hey thanks for your help guys, those caps look good...sorry about the confusion... I couldn't find the 'mu' sign on my keyboard and forgot to use 'uF', ...so yes I was after 1 microfarad caps and these look like they'll be small enough

Cheers

1uF polyester are easy to find and sounds good. I use them to replace electros whenever it is posible.
