Is this really correct and functional with the 1st leg of the pot being wired to nothing..?

verified.... except for....the upper right corner...dont do the trace cut there.  i need to change the layout to reflect this...everything else is correct. alternately, you could just connect lug 1 of the pot a few holes in on the top row.

Whats the 20K boost?  I've seen 5k and 10k, any reason for picking 20k?

Well it's some kind of mod, and I'm trying getting the thing to work, but it won't.
