51pF and small 1uF NP around?

i've started to goof around in my TS and noticed i would need a 1uF NP to replace the 0.047 to get the sound i like (now it's two .47 uF in parallel) but the big blue box 1uF NP (63V)i got from Small Bear is quite too large to fit there, any brand suggestions? is there a smaller 1uF NP (no soldering parts together, i'd like to get this in a single part)...

and about the famous 51pf often used in circuits and rarely seen in real life, what do most of you usually use?
i guess it would be 47pF but does it work as well?

I have a few 51pF but, I can't remember where I got them from.....Jameco maybe.  ???

i think i used a 56pF, 47pF would be fine.as long as you orient the poles right, you could use a 1uF electro and shrink that size down.

These are WIMA S1 50v caps, as you can see perfect for replacing the 1uf NP
caps in a TS or any other area where space is tight, 4mm square and 9mm high :D
Down side - these are about $2 a piece !!!!!
I had ten and have rescued these from a "so-so" build !
47pf for the 51pf is absolutely fine, I like 100pf's here in a TS anyway :D

+1 for WIMA! I'm using MKS-2 for all my builds - really small. Approx. 5mm x 7.5mm and they charge 0.35€ (~USD)

I often use 2 SMica 33 and 27p wired parallel for the 51p.

I would use a 220-330nF for the 1uf NP, the classic NP caps used by IBZ are only 1uF to compensate the big bass loss on those caps and to prevent a thin highend. MF, tnatal and Mylar caps don't have this losses and can be therefore much smaller.

http://www.circuitspecialists.com/level.itml/icOid/7474  for the 51pf Mica
and:

But if you need one of each or so, depending on your address, I'll send you some.
Maybe 2 NP 1UF radial and 2 51pf mica I can spare.
Let me know.

You could do even with 16V rated NP 1uF WIMA's which are even smaller.
Didn't find them at Conrad.de though

63Vs are from 0,37EUR onwards, as Thomas indicated.
