Wow, that really sounds great!

What voltage are you running the preamp and power amp at?

zoohr

preamp at 10V power amp 35V. The ssss noise is from snare drum. Recorded with DV cam.
The last section with the very, very loud band ;D

I must thank You Doug and the guys from runoffgroove for inspiration from your great work, and sharing all with us!

I'm not going to get on here and do the typical vulturing for a schematic, but I'm curious... Did you use a popular amp schematic topology for your jfet preamp?

It's nice to hear such a good sound in a SS amp. I have an old yamaha SS amp and recently tried the "drive" channel again. I was surprised how good it sounded. Not as good as yours, but it has potential. :icon_wink:

My jaw dropped when I saw the depth of the amp. It really is small.

Darn, now I want one.

Hey, you cut your hair and shaved for the band-take? Haha, just kidding but do you ever get to play the six-string in that band? You sound better to me than the 'other dude'.

First, my english is not so good, so i have problem expresing my self.
I have modified schematics so many times, because i had problems with noise and oscilations. I post schematics soon when i find some time.

Really cool sound. Even better than my stock Kustom 16. Mind to share the circuit design ?

km-r

now i wanna build a similar amp 50 watts[whats!] with some DFX!!! thats DIY-Effects...
Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

km-r

yes, a circuit diagram would be very helpful for your followers... *ahem*

Nah, I don't need a schematic, but thanks. I'm just curious about what your approach was.

I'll like to see that schem

4049.. CMOS, aye?..
them chips are definitely a pain in the tube's ***...
:icon_eek: sounds really good. Nice strat I guess too.

I really like Gilmours shining diamond licks too!  ;) They are just written for strats!

Nice! Are you going to start building and selling these? Or will you post a schematic at some stage so that we can enjoy the mojo of this amp too?  :icon_biggrin:
