Or pay for ANYTHING Torres carries.

any large 250K A (logarhythmic pot) pot will do

ANY decent quality pot of the appropriate taper will do.  When it comes to carved-top instruments, like Les Pauls and others, the bushing (threaded part) needs to be somewhat longer to fit through the body and reach the outside world, so one has to be a bit pickier about pots.  But the Tele has a metal control plate that is no thicker than a Hammond box, so just about any "normal" pot will physically fit.  There is some justification for viewing a larger diameter pot as being "better", "more precise", or even having a better feel, but smaller diameter pots are not incapable of being precise or providing a feel the user likes.  Certainly one of the things that larger pots are often moe open to is easy regular shpritzing with contact cleaner.  With a larger size comes a larger opening near the lugs, and the user can more easily fit the nozzle of any cleaning solution or even canned air in there and get any dust and other random detritus out of the contacts.  I suppose the other factor is the shaft type and whether it will provide a decent home for the knob of your choice.  Finally, "feel" is a subjective thing, and I doubt there is any sinle pot brand/type/size that can be said to provide a best feel to all players.

The Torres pot IS a little pricey for those who shop for pots regularly and know the normal price range.  But, you know, it's just one pot, and the impact on your life is going to be a couple of bucks; less than half a cup of popcorn at a movie, or the price of one beer.
