I tried getting this layout to work before... gave up, and than tried it again today, and I just can't get it to work. I'm getting a really muffled bassy sound, even when the wah is bypassed... it sounds much brighter and clearer whithout the wah and buffer in my chain (buffer is in the wah shell). I tried messing with the trimpot with no results, and I tried reversing the trimmer, and  FET with no results.

Here are the voltages I'm getting on the 2N5457... I can take other voltages upon request.

D 9.46
S 1.24
G 0.15

The wah circuit is the GGG design, and I did what the fuzz central layout says which is to wire the out to the switch (I think the firts time I tried it I wired the out to the output jack, but it seems to be acting the same anyways) Other than that, there's no solder bridges, and all the wires and components are where they should be.

Anyone else having/had the same problem with this layout. Thanks in advance.  :icon_wink:

Anybody?

Any suggestions for different/other buffer layouts?

You probably already have that, since I went and looked I grabbed the adress.
Drain at V+, source above gate...voltages look workable to me.
strange it'd be muffled sounding. no other variables ? it should be about 1/1 unity.
