I want to add an octave on/off switch to my Tyco, but I just need to clarify something before I go ahead with it. (I numbered my question to make it easier to answer them)

I'm going by the mod from the fuzzcentral site: *very bottom of page* http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/octavia.php

But I'm using the GGG layout and board. 1) Am I right in assuming that the mod is compatible with the GGG layout?

2) Do I just lift 1 diode to the switch, or both of them? 3) And, if I only lift 1 diode is it the 1st or 2nd diode?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You just lift one of the diodes. To match the schematic lift D2, but I don't actually think it matters which one you lift.

m_charles

yes sir,

lift one diode, but only one. Doesn't matter which.

easy as pie!

Fuzzy-Train

Kew, kew. I guess it is that easy.

Thanks for the help guys.

;D ;D Mods were a complete success. I say modS because I also did the "body" mod from GGG.

In case some of you don't know, that's my 3 in 1 build. It's a Ge FF, a Si FF, and the octavia of course.

Thanks again for the help, much appreciated.  :icon_wink:

Can i replace them?

Thanks

Fuzzy-Train

Good thing you asked. I completely forgot to ask if I can swap out the trannies for something else. I was thinking of trying some metal can BC's.
