My next distortion pedal? What to build?

Right, first off, there are way too many distortion pedals. It's killing me.

I have just got hold of an Ashdown Fallen Angel head (my first all tube amp) and I recently put a DiMarzio Super Distortion P90 humbucking soapbar into my PRS SE singlecut. The sound seems quite thin, although I've been used to using a Seymour Duncan Invader in my last guitar.

So I want something to beef up my sound and to make my pickup sound more like my high output invader.

I was thinking maybe a Thor or something similar. There's been a lot of hype about them recently. I need something with some nice low end to bring up my palm muted pop punk riffs. I have recently being using a Digitech Hot Head, and my MXR Dist+ is too bright and brash, aslmost harsh really. How about an OD 250 with a tone control?

I have a SHO in front of the Thor and it's awesome. The mosfet-booster really drives to Thor nicely and makes my pups sounds very direct and, uhm, broad (both humbuckers and sc's). Just the Thor is great too, but it's even better with a booster in front of it. It sounds also very nice with my rangemaster in front of it.

Right I think its settled.

One Thor and one Omega coming right up!

IMO, the Dr Boogey is the palm muting king of the distortion heap.

Keep in mind though, the Omega and SHO are 2 different animals.
You'd be closer to the SHO with this>>http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album76/Modified_MosFET_Booster_LAYOUT

I can confirm that the Omega -> Thor sounds fantastic !!  GOOD choice IMO

Omega, being capable of both a mosfet-booster and rangemaster-tones should be awesome in front of a Thor.

The chart here http://www.bmusic.com.au/prod3146.htm does not give one the impression of a "thin" sounding pickup.  You might want to make sure it's wired up correctly.

I think its down to me playing through an Invader for ages, the 13k super distortion doesnt really get close to the 19k invader. I can live with it, and its a nice sound, I just need to get used to it and find "my" sound. You know what I mean.

Anyone else got any opinions on the Dr Boogey? Someone said the thor would widen out my sound spectrum, and that sounded good to my ears.

I am thinking a compressor might help with sustain too. Anyone had any luck with a compressor and the thor? Also, if you can, please try a compressor/booster/thor combo and let me know how that sounds.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Something with a gain stage/clipping using actives.
  Something as 1rst stage.
Voicings...you'll want to try some voicings.
  3rd stage
  Buffer?
  Ge?
  Mosfet. Jfet
Rocket..if you have a FF you can have about a Rocket with another Q/board in front.

a dist+ with ge diodes.... I got one already, and it sounds way too harsh... I need something with more bass... I am going to hit the thor and see what I get...

as far as a higher output goes, the super distortion is pretty high really, and my new guitar has p90's in and I dont want to route this one for a humbucker... yet  :P

Also, the super distortion was more of a test for when I buy my dream guitar, a les paul double cut, which will have soapbar p90s in, and I obivously dont want to rout one of those!
