Aussie Comp Question

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could recommend any tweaks to the aussie comp to make it more suited to bass.

Or better yet, would it work fine for bass just as it is??

I'm going by the "regular" aussie comp layout of Mark's not the Marty version because I don't need the "release" knob.

Also, can I sub a JRC4558 for the LM386? Same pinout?
