Hey so thanks to everyone, I have finaly built my first workin box!, I have been recycling and this was perfect for the job. I was wondering what to use as a bottom, well the answer was in front of me... the top of a pringles chips container!...fit peerfectly. So I learned alot in this build. Next time I will go easy on the hardware. I mangled a bit the aluminium casing(a lamp fan)while trying to put the jacks. I already know Ill be using this one for a while!

Cool. How's she sounding? Interesting case choice!

Hey thanks Roobin, you know what they say about the Germanium heat issues, so I figured I should get a casing with ventilation :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:.
I like it alot, it gets very easy to do the pinch harmonics and high piched squeels, its like a razor sharp high end .
I will be swapping about 30 pnp Ge's soon in there and then I will be able to say if this one is just good or awsome. I used a .005 grey tiger wax cap and a vintage ceramic .01, so maybe that has some to do about the tone.

Nice case. Mine is in a Disney round case :icon_redface:
As far as I tested heat is not a major problem, for example, if hfe is increased from 70 to 140, Vc moves only .15v... at least in mine.
Although many say that ceramic and poly caps that have equal uF sound the same, I can hear the difference between them. In and out caps are poly in mine. And the input cap varies from 0.056uf to 0.012uf.
The best treblebooster ever.

Well Mac, I think I just found out another funky casing. I dont know if your talking about the same thing but I remembered that I have a small round disney videogame, the new ones with the reissue games in there. Its plastic though but I think it could work well with a small circuit.Maybe line it with alu foil for the shielding...

Mine is a metal case about 12x4cm, removable top. A friend's kid gave it to me. Big enough to hold the circuit and 6xAAA batteries. The major draw back is that the pots and the bypass are are attached to the top so is tricky to open it, but since current draw is about 0.23mA batts will last for decades.
