Thanks all!

I tried

The sound sucks :)

Which circuit? The Ge transistor fuzz?
I know it defeats the point of it being a passive circuit, but how does it sound with a boost in front of it?

Thanks,
Alex

Ah, ok.
I didn't think that one would sound so great.

Has anyone tried the passive Ge transistor fuzz?

R.G., Mark: WHat about parallel diodes, don't they lower the treshold voltage? I mean, there is no "real" tyreshold, at some point the logarithmic-flowing current just goes nuts, which we call the treshold, yet the current was always flowing and rising with voltage. parallel diodes double the current flow, so somewhat lowering the treshold?

About the passive Ge transistor: be careful, the thing could be phantom powered, since the output point could well be also the connection to power through a resistor (in the follwoing device). Since Germaniums leak, some don't need biasing at the base.

What if you place something like the ROG Fetzer Valve after?
Or even your own Stebby Boost? :)
