Hey Beavis, for super knobby creations like you try, have you thought of using the tiny 9mm alpha PC board mount pots for the less crucial controls?  You'd have to be down with designing your own PCBs, but it would be cheaper, more compact, and much less wiring work.  Like this 6 knobber, the controls you'd likely be fiddling with in the middle of performing, once you have your sound  dialed, are normal size, the others, tiny:

One could use dip switches too, for your clipping controls, a la sansamp classic.

I would place a copy of the EQ in front of the muff. Instant Gilmour set-up.

WOW. Looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Could you do something like this using a 4049 hex inverter / converter chip sort of like a Mr EQ?

Looks really cool.  I think all distortion boxes need an EQ at the end to account for for different tones, rather than buying 7 different pedals.

Another cool deal, is that various distortion generators can be subbed for the BMP and use the EQ section.  Thanks for the "Platform"

oooooh. Nice stuff! What sort of sounds can you get using the gate and oscillation mode? Tremolo? Octave up down?

I use those on my Noisy Cricket amp. Problem is that the clearance isn't enough for a parallel mounting without going with double-sided PCBs. I have finally reached the point where I can design and do single-sided PCBs pretty well, so double-sided is a ways off. Thanks for the idea though, and I think the smaller knobs perhaps for the eq section would be wicked cool.

Or even better, a 2pdt switch so you can choose before of after.

The oscillation mod needs a better name. Depending on the setting of the gate pot, you can tune in another note for fake harmony/octave. Pretty fun.

I'm hoping to get a chance to finalize this over the next few weeks.

Actually, you don't have to worry about clearance if you get the type that mount sideways.  Then they hang off the end of your pcb and your pcb sits sideways.  Of course you can always mount them on their own pcb with some jumper wires.
