analog delay... two in one box?

Hey guys,
do you think it would be a cool idea to put two switchable delays in one box (ie having one set slower and one set faster)?  would this yield any interesting results, or just be mush?

Hey Jonathan, I usually run 2 delay pedals my DM-2 and my hacked DD-3.  DD-3 into DM-2.(short->long)  I get some cool results with that.  The other way is more mushy but can have its uses.  Which delays were you thinking of using?

jlullo

well, since i was thinking of building this, i was thinking of the rebote 2.5 ...

the thing is is that the enclosure would be so huge that i don't think it would be worth it unless it gave me some really worthwhile results!  do you think this circuit would work in this way?

runmikeyrun

depends on how big your pedalboard is!  I say go for it.

If the issue is only having two different delay times (so same level and feedback) maybe you could just have two footswitchable rate pots, using one circuit board ...

Here ya go.... A rebote delay with two presets

This is in japanese, i hope you have your dictionary with you... :D

haha wow... thank you!  i'll have to look into this tonight!

damn, i dont know why i never thought of that...i would use something like the H20 in conjunction with the DD3...aaaaaah!

but no..im waiting for the new space echo twin pedal.  :)
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

The best is to use each delay thru 2 separate amps...the stereo results are amazing.
Big pain in the back if yer amps are large though!

so it would be a little over the top to make the effects switchably independent, or one running into the other?

calculating_infinity

I dont think it would be over the top, but I'm a delay addict.  I say be more over the top and add effects loops to both!  I suggest a short echo circuit, and a long delay.  I am unsure how long of a delay the rebote can get or even what kind of delay times you are shooting for.  In my post below I meant to say, DD-3 into DM-2.  Long into short, it creates a ?Multitap? (is this the right term?) type delay.  Very "bouncy."  Keep us updated!  Sounds like something I would want to do in the future.

jlullo

thank you!  i'll definitely keep you updated if i actually go through with it :)  i might just try and get through one first.... who knows though.  i haven't been known in the past to bite off more than i can chew  :D
